PRACTICE VIGNETTES 4.0

While reading about the vignettes is very important, it's not enough. Practicing with NCARB's software is paramount. These vignettes have been specifically designed to simulate what you can expect on the actual exam. Our Practice Vignettes are to be solved using NCARB's free downloadable practice software for ARE 4.0. Use NCARB's tools and base drawings and solve our Practice Problems. We have sufficiently modified NCARB's problems. This requires you to produce an entirely new solution. Each vignette contains a sample passing solution so you can compare your solutions to ours. AREvaluations are available for both the NCARB 4.0 vignettes and our alternate 4.0 Practice Vignettes.

We recommend using these practice vignettes after you have solved the NCARB practice vignettes and received AREvaluations for each.

How well did you do on the practice vignettes? Upload a completed solution and our team of graders will review it and provide you with feedback on each program requirement. They will analyze and assess every aspect of your solution based on a scale of Acceptable, Intermediate, or Unacceptable. An evaluation of Passing, Marginal or Failing will then be assigned. Identify your strengths and weaknesses and receive valuable commentary. Turnaround time is usually 3-7 days.

We recommend that you have your NCARB practice vignette solutions graded before attempting the NALSA practice vignettes. This way you can apply what you've learned while solving the NALSA vignettes. Test your knowledge again by submitting the NALSA vignettes for an evaluation.

THE EVALUATOR WORKBOOK

The Evaluator Workbook helps you understand the 'How and Why' of solving the NCARB practice vignettes successfully. You analyze 6 different solutions to each vignette and assess their accuracy. You will learn to identify common errors. Compare your analyses to ours with the answer key provided. NCARB directions, Program Code, etc. are annotated to highlight key issues. Also included are 3D images of a passing solution for each vignette, which makes the 2D solution less abstract.

After you have read Solutions, solved some Practice Vignettes and received AREvaluations, you'll be ready to test your knowledge with The Evaluator Workbooks.
